Undercover Pinot Noir: A Unique Gift by Ampro Design

Revolutionizing the Concept of Gifting with a Bottle of Milk

Ampro Design, renowned for their creativity and out-of-the-box design solutions, has once again surprised their clientele with a unique holiday gift - a bottle of milk. However, the surprise doesn't end there. The bottle, contrary to expectations, contains a fine Pinot Noir. This innovative design concept, which was born out of a desire to circumvent gift restrictions for international trade customers, has been awarded the prestigious Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2013.

The idea for this unique design was conceived two years ago in Shanghai by Irinel Ionescu, Creative Director and Managing Partner with Ampro Design. During a self-promotion awards ceremony, Ionescu observed that wine bottles were a common gift item. This sparked the question, "why not offer a bottle of milk to the client?"

With this idea, Ampro Design set out to create a unique gift that would not only surprise their clients but also adhere to various gift restrictions. The result was the Undercover Pinot Noir - a seemingly ordinary bottle of milk that, upon closer inspection, revealed a fine Pinot Noir. This clever design solution effectively bypassed gift restrictions, as no one would object to receiving a bottle of milk.

The first samples of the Undercover Pinot Noir were manually painted in-house. For the 2012 Christmas season, Ampro Design produced 200 bottles for their clients. The paint, inscription, and the Pinot Noir wine were sourced from different local companies. The bottle measures 8 cm in diameter and 26.5 cm in height.

This unique design has not only reinforced Ampro Design's reputation for creativity but has also earned them the Golden A' Packaging Design Award in 2013. This award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom. It celebrates products and ideas that advance art, science, design, and technology, embodying extraordinary excellence and significantly impacting the world with their desirable characteristics.
